Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers FAQs

DERMAL FILLERS eg Belotero, Maili, Perfectha, Teosyal

These premium fillers are a naturally occurring gel, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) used to smooth out lines and wrinkles and replenish firmness and lost volume. With added local anesthetic, you’ll enjoy the most comfortable treatment experience
possible.

Dermal fillers are used in a bespoke way to sculpt and design each individual’s features, which means there is no mathematically correct volume for everyone. We look at the face holistically and determine what volume may be correct for you. A keen eye to detail is critical to ensure you have the correct result for you. Facial proportions, symmetry, shape and volume are all taken into consideration.

NON HA FILLERS eg Radiesse, Ellanse

These fillers have a different constitution and are not dissolvable. They work by not only immediately correcting wrinkles and folds in the skin, but also by stimulating the body’s own natural collagen to give a long lasting, natural result. These are our recommended fillers for full face skin rejuvenation as well as hand, neck and decollete.

Introduction to Radiesse Wash

Radiesse Wash is a very effective treatment in improving skin quality and appearance. Ideal for use with dehydrated or wrinkled skin tissue. This is different to Radiesse being used as a conventional dermal filler as the Wash works on the product’s enhanced collagen generating qualities.

The procedure is carried out by using Radiesse in a highly diluted form. The diluted Radiesse product is gently injected by canula into the area you want to treat, creating multiple tiny strands of product. This will greatly enhance collagen production which in turn rehydrates, increases the elasticity of the skin thus improving the skins complexion, radiance and reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

Can be used for face, neck, décolletage and hands.

What can I expect during treatment?

Depending on the area of the treatment, the filler will be placed using a needle or a cannula. Wendy will safely inject at the correct depth to create your desired result. You will then receive a gentle massage to shape and sculpt.

Are there any Pre-Treatment Instructions?

  • Do NOT consume alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to treatment.

  • Avoid blood-thinning medication, if possible for a period of 2 weeks.

  • Consider taking arnica tablets from 5 days prior to treatment to reduce possible bruising/swelling.

What can I expect during recovery?

Most patients find that they can return to work and normal activities immediately after treatment. However, it must be noted that areas of swelling, bruising and/or tenderness can persist for up to 7 days. Due to the fact hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the body, there is little chance of an allergic reaction occurring after treatment.

Although a safe procedure, there are certain activities you should avoid afterwards.
